Gila monster

Last week, one of my classmates brought a book to school and one of my teachers decided to read it to us.She reached the part about a reptile called a gila monster. She pronounced it “geela”, but I knew it was pronounced “heela”. So I told her. When I got back from school, I told papa what happened.Papa said that I was right. He also asked me how I pointed out the teacher’s mistake. He wanted to know if I did it nicely. Huh? If someone does or says something wrong, shouldn’t you just tell them for their own good?Apparently not. I have to tell them nicely too. Oh, bother!Papa says this is the start of many similar incidents between me and my teachers to come. I wonder what he means…Little Smart Alec Isaac
